Actually, me and Mario happened to be in El Nido by chance.
Everything began when, during a dive in Indonesia, we met a english girl who had just come back from Philippines. She seemed so amazed by her time in El Nido that we decided to take the first flight to Manila and – after four flights during the same night – we found ourselves in the most wonderful beach I’ve ever seen.
It’s always hard to explain why we loved El Nido so much. This fishing village, nestled among a line of high black mountains and the deep blue sea, is simply unique.
The amazing beaches and the incredible wild nature aren’t indeed the only reasons: everything in El Nido is quiet and peaceful, and you easily start to forget how it’s life outside there.
We rented a motorbike to explore all the spots nearby the village and we really had great time. The only road that brings outside El Nido goes along a wonderful landscape: the bright green rice fields and the white sand beach seemed endless.
The very best arrived the last days, when we went for island hopping, fishing and diving. That sea is always in my dreams.
